Throw to the body with him, clinch and jab as often as you can. What would you gameplan be to beat Cotto?
My personal gameplan would be:
A. Try to box at a distance (if I had the reach) and keep him off of me for 12 rounds.
B. Go for the knockout and give up if I don't reach it in 4 rounds.
If there is any boxer I wouldn't fight it would definitely be Cotto. I would hate to feel the internal damage he causes fighters. Hatton knocks you down from body punches because it hurts. But it should only hurt for a few hours. Cotto punches probably hurt for a weeks.Comment

Measley could grow a third arm and he still wouldn't be able to defeat Cotto. One thing I know though, Mosley will know better than to box Cotto. Mosley's got a weaker jab than Margarito and his legs look like RJJ's legs in his fight against Johnson. Stiff as flag poles. The logical choice is to brawl it out with Cotto. But his combos are not all there and even when they get there, they don't do much damage anymore. He hits good to the body, I'll give him that. It's the only punch where he actually twists his hips, oh and that ugly looping right of his. Mosley's got confidence issues due to the fact that he is not a smart fighter. Yeah, Mosley is not a smart fighter he can not adjust when faced with difficulties. Mosley is ****ED!Comment

Did you see Shane's fight against Collazo? How can you see he has "stiff legs" after having seen that fight, c'mon now. Shane looked youthful and vibrant as he was moving side to side, flurrying in and out of range, dropping the right hand lead and zooming out of there. True he doesn't hit like he used to, but he's still as fast as ever and when Cotto leaps in with those slow combinations he's going to get caught by Mosley. Even when he does catch Mosley, Shane will fire right back. A truly quality fighter fires back in retaliation (unlike Judah did in his fight for some reason) and I just don't think Cotto has the chin or defense to survive intact for 12 rounds...we'll see.Measley could grow a third arm and he still wouldn't be able to defeat Cotto. Cool...
With Shame's experience in big fights, he should be expected to keep Cotton at bay.
Shame will be boxing while Cotton will be coming forward most of the time.
