Well, Shane was hurt and put down by Forrest. Forrest is not a ko puncher, he's a strong puncher but he's not a Cotto puncher. What a Cotto puncher means. Somebody that is looking for the ko all the time. Shane has not faced that somebody who is obsessed with putting the hurt on and stopping fighters.

In all fairness, Cotto was badly hurt and put down against Torres also. The knockdown, however, was less legit as it had a push to it, but I am biased obviously.

Forrest is by far a more accurate puncher than Miguel Cotto.

Forrest is also about half a foot taller than Cotto. Do you have any idea what sort of extension was on the shot that hit Mosley? The punch that setup that knockdown was an extended straight right hand from about a block away. I concede Mosley is vulnerable to extended straights - but the cross is one of Cotto's absolutely worst punches and Miguel has short arms and NOT NEARLY the sort of commitment on his right hand that Forrest does.

Cotto IS NOT looking for the KO all the time. He's a relaxed fighter who likes to set the pace and incrementally damage his opponents. Miguel tends to open up when he sees those tell-tale signs of his handiwork - but NOT until then. He's extremely measured.

The punch was an uppercut as far as I remember. Cotto is a relaxed fighter, I'll agree with that, but he is looking for the ko always whether it is by accumulation of punches or by a single one. Fact of the matter is that Miguel would never lose to Mayo twice in a row and act like a *****. Miguel's got too much heart for that bushleague ****. Forrest doesn't and he made Mosley a one punch hit, grabber, clincher type of fighter. If somebody is getting koed it is Mosley, not Cotto and I am willing to bet all measly points that I have.

I don't need a gameplan against Cotto, all I need to do is transform myself into Joshua Clottey and I'm guaranteed to win. :-D

I don;t get hte Clottey entrance but since you say it;s possible I'll give him a chance of 15% to score an upset.

Clottey has THE best style to beat Cotto in my opinion with minimal ease.

                Read it again.

It says "...the punch that SETUP the knockdown..."

Bet your points. Bet them with me or wheoever. It's a sucker bet.

And I WILL take those points.

And no need to claim that Cotto would never lose to Mayorga twice - there is a very good chance Cotto would get his ****ing head taken off the FIRST time EARLY. But thanks for the wild speculation..

I'm pretty sure you called Shane Mosley a "*****."

Get some ****ing class, dude. That's some bull**** you're talking about.

I would headbutt Cotto (hoping for a cut to open) Then box for my life hoping to win by a stoppage on headbutt and win on the cards.

                  HA! Classic.

I didn;t call Shane a "*****", never have, never will. However, Shane doens';t have best confidence that is clearly obvious in the fights he lost from the get go actually. His desperation look tells me all, his strenght of character is not all there. No, Mayorga will clearly fade out against Cotto just like Miranda faded out against Pavlik.
