Its not as if Gatti was ever even a great boxer. He came to fame with his wars with Mickey Ward. Yes he was popular, but not great. So for Floyd to drop to his knee's in tears over win over Gatti, was a bit pathetic.
So, you feel qualified to judge how a man should feel over what is going on in his life?
Do you remember what Floyd had going on OUTSIDE the ring?
Also, the Gatti fight was the inflection point in Floyd's career.

Im just saying. Floyd acted like he beat a 10x world champ, when in reality, it was just Gatti. Gatti was infact just a paper champ when Floyd fought him. Floyd called Gatti a paper champ prior to the fight, so what did that make Floyd when Floyd won??? A paper champ right. U cant beat a "paper" champ, then call yourself a "real" champ.
Im not having a go at PBF. Its just that i have only heard about Gatti losing to Gomez today while reading Ring magazine in WH SMiths newsagents while waiting for my bus. I didnt buy the magazine. I never do...i just browse through it and then put it back on the shelf.
PBF would have busted up Gatti whether Gatti was past it or not. I've never rated Gatti. He is exciting and dont mind gettin hit a bit but he has always had exciting fights making boxers who werent that good household names because of the excitement of the fights.
It would be a toss up i bet between Gomez and Gatti if they were both in their primes.
