Hey John, have you ever heard of a Middleweight or Super Middleweight from that era who called himself the Sandman? I met a guy who used to fight under Manny Steward, but his career was cut short due to some personal tragedies. He told me his name, butI couldn't remember it to look him up, but he did call himself the Sandman, and he was from the Midwest. Ever heard of him? He also told me that he sparred against Gerald McClellan and that he was the best fighter that he had ever seen, and he also said he sparred against Roy Jones when they were training for the Olympics.
One of my all time coveted pics...

Not sure of the Sandman unless it was former 175 pounder Willie Edwards,. As far as Emmanuel goes... Roy was A LOT faster than Gerald....and I dont know of anybody that has that tape...I am pretty sure Emmanuel wasnt there. He didnt have Gerald at the time, either...Gerald fought out of Freeport, Illinois back then. A pro fight with those two would have been a careful match on RJ's part and realize this...if good boxers like Dennis Milton and Ralph Ward beat Gerald by decision what do u think would happened when an awesome boxer like RJ got in with himComment
