Will Taylor stick to his plan if he gets hit?

I can't figure this guy's head out. Manny says he has a nasty temper, though if that's true he hides it well. I think he would likely win the fight if it goes twelve, but I wonder how he'll react when he gets hit hard, which he will. Will that temper show up and he'll engage in a brawl he could lose. Will he, which is a reasonable guess based on his history, appear indifferent and let the title drift from him? Or will he recover and wisely stick to the original fightplan, winning his decision even with a swollen face and a damaged ego?

Jermain Taylor has a vicious jab and one of the best in the boxing world. If he gets hit, he's going to have to increase his jab output to keep the other guy on his heels.

Nah I don't believe the temper thing. Eventhough I don't like Jermaine I can't lie and say he isn't a nice guy because he is. He never seems overly upset.

        yea i agree.

But i do think getting hit so much will throw him off his gameplan. But it may not cause of the poconos, that may help his concentration a lot.

At least we know Pavlik cant be thrown off his gameplan...

His jab only looks great against smaller fighters and mediocre competition. If you really lo into it, his jab was useless against Winky/Hopkins x2. Pavlik is going to push the pace and tire him out. Guaranteed. I can see a nasty side to Jermain but it wont be enough come fight time.

thats a pretty good point. I have a feeling taylor will lose his head and become reckless. Hopefully he will regain his composure before he gets knocked the hell out. I feel that if he stays focused and listens to his trainer he should do okay.

I think Taylor will have finally show what he is really made of. I expect Pavlik to push the fight but Taylor will being pumping the jab. Early on it will look like Pavlik has a chance. Around the 8th round Pavlik will be busted up from the jab and get wreckless, and go to sleep. Peace
