Look up David Reid and his eye problem. Thanks
Bro, I been watching boxing for 31 years. I knew about his eye and his camp said his eye was fine. They could get corrective surgery to fix it but he'd have to quit the game.

Every time someone gets put in for a big title shot @ 14-0 the career ****s the bed. Same thing w/Vargas...brought him up too fast.

They could have fed him smaller guys and wait for the big show. Wasnt a good choice now was it? David isnt doin too well financially I hear.

His eye was consistently getting worse. They basically had no choice. But wahtever.

Maybe it was...I'm not his brother or anything. Just goin on what I heard @ the time. Initially they said it couldnt get worse cuz it didnt work like that.

That was like more than 10 years ago too.

Whats your source for his eye getting "worse?" Mayhap your right. Just dont come off like a **** trying to say I dont know boxing. Got over 1000 in the archive and fought ams, sparred w/champs. I take it as insult.

David couldn't see because of the eyelid. He was advised to move his career on really quickly.

And no worries. Whenever I see an av with Floyd Mayweather in it I get a little ornery. I apologize.

Here's a pic of the eye:

            Is that the question?

I thought the question was who was the most dissapointing Olympian.

Not who was the most talented Olympian that dissapointed.

O' I knew about that then. The camps said it was as bad as it would get. I followed him from the Am's. The punch that finished his career was seen by David cuz it was Titos left hook to Davids good side.

They said time and time again it wasnt that he couldnt see. Man this is going back to the dark ages for me. Hard to retrieve that data note for note.

He looks like a ****ing tautog fish in that pic...lol. Poor guy.

He got an operation shortly after. his eye looks alot better right now but still covers a little bit.

you seen his gold medal performance?? hardly a gold medal performance. he got real lucky with a fluky shot. he was losing badly to some cuban. little bit of a hype job. take nothing away from him, though.

Ya I remember that...but lets not take nothing away from the Cubans. No secret they had advantages against us. Men vs. boys and then some.

I'll tell you one thing though...getting a KO vs a Cuban in the olympics isnt really that lucky.
