Streets of Youngstown, Dreams to Remember

By TK Stewart - The Southside Boxing Club in Youngstown, Ohio ain’t much.

Just a big room with a ring, a few punching bags and a handful of young souls that toil away with big dreams that stay locked away in their minds.

Dreams that they have mostly kept to themselves.

Over the years lots of kids have dared to walk up to the door and peek inside Jack Loew’s dark little gym. A few of them even muster up the courage to step inside and maybe skip some rope or punch the heavy bag. [details]

I've known Kelly for a long time, and this writer hit the nail on the head. What you see is what you get. Nothing flashy, No **** talking, He drives a beat up 98 Durango, He's alll about the hard work, dedication and hopes of being the world champ.

It will be great for boxing when he shows the world what JT really is.

great article. Goes to show you that you don't have to be a loud mouth ruffian to get the attention of the publics eye. I mean damn doesn't his record speak for its self, 31-0 (28 KO's). Don't get me wrong I love to hear two fighters trash talk each other, but that always made me feel it was more of a street fight. The way pavilik acts makes it seem like the sport it is, his professionalism and dedication speak volumes about his character and the good job his parents did in raising him. I like Taylor and have been a fan for a long time but ever since his fights with Hopkins I wondered if he is as good as I thought he was. When this fight happens Saturday, I'll be glued to the TV till the last bell is rung or a KO happens.

I really hope he wins. Taylor isn't much of a **** talker either though. I'm hoping for a good fight with an early stoppage.
