I dont believe STEWARDS and DiBELLAS confidence for a MINUTE!!!!

I just looked up what Steward and DIBELLA had to say about TAYLOR vs OUMA when he was training/Promoting Taylor for the fight, take a look at these quotes...

"The main thing for Jermain is he has to avoid moving to the ropes."
    -Steward
(So this means they trained to stay off the ropes... i seem to recall him fighting off the ropes all the freakin time...)

"[Taylor is] one of the biggest middleweights in modern times--"
    -Steward
    (Pavliks even bigger)

    "Jermain has tremendous one-punch power,"
    -DiBella
(Not only is Taylor DEFINETLY not a devestating puncher IMO, Pavlik surely hits harder...)

"Ouma doesn't have knockout power... The guy who lands the most punches will win, and Ouma could be the new middleweight champion,"
    -Steward
(Pavlik WILL be able to get off that many punches... so what does that mean exactly? Does Steward actually think Pavlik could win?)

"What Jermain has to do is show is how he can be an explosive fighter"
    -Steward
(So we can throw out the theory that, Taylor has something to prove so he's definetly knock Pavlik out... can't we?)

"He is a huge celebrity in the state of Arkansas."
    -Dibella
(Hmmmmmmm, i seem to remember a half empty stadium for Wright and Spinks, AND half the crowd was there for Pavlik in the Spinks fight according to Ringside.)

"Anytime a boxer throws as many punches in a round as Ouma, there's danger."
    -Dibella
(again, Pavlik WILL get off that many punches.)

Okay, im not Saying these guys arent confident, but there is NO WAY IN HELL that Steward and Dibella are as confident as they let on. They know there is WAY more danger of getting flattened in this fight then in any other previous fight.

If you didn't put so much points on the fight I would bet with you, either way JT will win. How can you compare what they said about OUMA to what they believe about PAVLIK...

Anything Manny Steward says publicly about his own fighters or their opponenets right before a fight is of course meaningless.

There's at least a perception that Pavlik has confidence issues, and Steward was playing to that.

And I think it's been made clear that Manny does not really consider Taylor a great fighter. He might still be better than Pavlik, but Manny like everyone else knows that Taylor is just getting by right now
