Think Manny Pacquiao is the greatest Filipino boxer ever? “Pancho Villa” might have something to say about that. Born Francisco Guilledo, "Villa" is considered by many to be the greatest Asian fighter of all time. He is best known for his violent seventh round knockout of the legendary Jimmy Wilde in 1923. Villa’s career was tragically cut short when he died suddenly due to a throat infection in 1925 at the age of 23.

cant compare them. different era and different evolution of fighters. i dont like comparing fighters that old to modern day fighters. athletes today are so much stronger and faster and smarter than in the old days. its simple evolution.

Not having to nuthug but how can you dispute the one who's already No. 2 P4P fighter in the world and on the way to No. 1?

Maybe Villa can be considered as the "first" great Filipino boxer, but to be best ever is very much debatable.
