      I don't understand why they insist on making Mexico vs. Phillipines bouts. It's a pretty ignorant way to hype up these cards

            Agreed, but I think this appeals only to the lowest common denominator. Which isn't good for the perception people have about boxing. By doing this I think they wanna attract all the flag waving, beer drinking Mexicans and Filipinos who might fight in the parking lot. I think there are better ways of marketing these fights other than the obvious Mexico vs Filipinas rivalry.

              It's a compliment to Mexican and Filipino fighters, they give hell of a fight everytime they meet. They do excel in smaller weight divisions and people find them not boring to watch. Mexican and Filipino fans should not take this boxing rivalry personally.

                Rey batista is wbo asia pacific superbantanweight champion what does that mean? Don't you lose the title when you lose the fight? Why do they insist on making batista a champion. I don't even think he is a top ten contender.

                  What hell of a fights? so far all i've seen is Pinoys getting beat and knocked out... dont exaggerate.
