Zab Judah: Man Down, Not Out

I never have hated zab... I seen his fights early in his career and he is a really talented fighter. I don't like the way he is outside the ring but thats his choice. He is willing to fight anymore and i give him credit for that. I was impressed with his early showing against mayweather and the heart he showed against cotto. He ain't done yet no way, he just needs to rack up some more wins and then he could maybe be up for another title shot at 154 maybe. Good luck to him.Comment

The real issue for Judah fans is waiting for his ship to come. How many opportunities has Zab had to cement his legacy in boxing...3 or 4? Every chance he gets, Zab always seems to blow it. Think about his defense against Baldimir. How many of us thought he'd have a tough time, let alone lose? It all goes back to ZJ's heart. He only seems to put his heart/dedication in it only when his career is on the line or when the "so-called" boxing experts have counted him out. Bottom-line is...Zab is very talented, but lacks the courage required to be a true champion.
Prediction for Zab's future...another Sharmba Mitchell. Countless opportunities to fight for belts and wasted talent.
Wizard of Oz...please give Zab a "heart". This cowardly lion really needs it!Comment

Zab will never be anything until he loses this crew and this attitude.
Floyd gets criticized for his "entourage", but Floyd's guys are WORLD'S APART from Zab's boys.

Good points.........It must be real difficult to sever ties with your father. Floyd uses prior personal experiences as a catalyst to alienate himself from his father, plus he has Uncle Roger, a close family member to fall back and truly rely on....Judah is not that fortunate. He tried using Don king as a promoter and advisor only to get Screwed. In a cut throat buisness like boxing you sometimes go with your gut instincts and pray everything falls in to place. He basically put all of his eggs in one basket soley relying on the direction of his father. No odubt Judah could use a new team. Period. That is undisputed this way, Stack. I do believe however that Judah has to take some of the responsibility. He needs to grow up. The street mentlity, exuberant, misappropriated family loyalty, etc. That is not how a grown man handles business.
Mayweather fired his father. It's business. You have to make decisions that are in the best interest of your future. Sure, Yoel may be upset, but as long as the family's fed, no one will complain. I am so sure.
Judah could easily be a "Million Dollar Baby". He needs to grow up before it's too late. (I think he is trying.) Fact of the matter is family loyalty will be out of the window if there's no window to throw it out of. (ie. No money, no home, everyone on the streets.)
