Ricky's had his face worked on pretty heavily over the years as it is. His skin has become paper thin along his head from scar tissue. I guess the BBC anticipates moe surgery in wake of Mayweather.

I wouldn't be suprised if Hatton sustains a few cuts in this fight. PBF has that kind of jab that just can cut an opponents face to threads - and it is also true that Hatton has also had surgery to chisel his cheek bones and to make his face less viable to cuts.

As for his skin being thin - thats both genetics AND the fact that he has to cut so much weight, and has done it so often. Fighters are easily cut when they are drained of water in order to make weight.
