    Biggest weight gainers in boxing

What well known fighters have successfully put on the most weight durring their fighting careers?

The guy I know of who's put on the most is Guillemore Jones, who turned pro at Welterweight and now fights as a heavyweight. At weltweight, he one the WBA Fedelatin welterweight title, then went on to narrowly lose 2 title shots at Jr. Middleweight. After this, he didn't fight for 16 months and then jumped straight to Super Middleweight, quickly moving upto cruiserweight where he would draw in a WBO title fight against Johnny Nelson. Jones has since had some good wins at Cruiser before making the jump to HW.

The only other guy I can think of as having a similar track record in the game today is James Toney, though Toney started at MW whereas Jones did at Welter.

Well Roy Jones did start at 154, but I wasn't aware of many fights he had at that weight. I think in terms of who had the most successful career when moving up in weight, it has to be Roy. He won titles at MW, SMW, and was the UNDISPUTED champion at LHW, plus he conquered John Ruiz and won the WBA Heavyweight title. Dude's got quite the resume.

Vinnie Pazienza fought his best fights at LW, and then roided himself all the way up to SMW. In fact, he went from 140 to 168 in three years.

He recently got in trouble with the law.
