        Gerald was a top of the line amateur...beat RJ in 88 nationals and beat Tim Littles on the way to winning the USA/ABF Nationals in 1987. he only guy as an amateur who seemed to have his number was Ray McElroy. Gerald also lost toFrankie Liles. The fight him and RJ was a back and forth war. Gerald could box as well as punch
