    Def Calzaghe / Lacy...

Gatti is a C level fighter... and outside his hard-core loonies.. everyone knew he would not last with the P4P. Mayweather did what he was supposed to do.

On the other hand, most expected Lacy to Knock Calzaghe TFU... and Calzaghe put on a clinic... that was FAR more impressive that embarrassing a shot C level club brawler.

Gatti is a much lower level of opposition, so it has to go to Calz.

Lacy was a punchbag on the night. Come on guys

You could see the tension in his shoulders at the weigh-in

Jeff Lacy may have been better competition... he hadn't really fought anyone great to prove that.

Anyways, when it comes to performance, Mayweather gets it, because he did exactly what he should have in that fight. Joe at least got hit a couple of times with big punches, even though he took them well.

          Better win? Obviously Calzaghe.

Calzaghes is much more impressive. Cal-Lacy was a 50-50 fight atleast going into it. Only hardcore haters were picking Gatti to win against PBF. A better thread would be what's more impressive Mayweather-Corrales or Cal-Lacy.

              Calzaghe VS. Lacy

Not even close brethern... Joe boxed Jeffy pretty much out of his mind, belt, and career... purely sickening domination, especially with a undefeated Lacy coming in to that fight already drawing experts' comparisons to that of a certain young ear-biter

& down here in saint pete (left hook's hometown), i've even heard a couple people close to his camp saying that Lacy still has to attend Counseling/Psychiatrists after that welsh ass-whipping.

does anyone know the final compubox stats on that fight? I swear Calzaghe had to connect with over a thousand

I think in terms of the better boxing skills, it has to be Mayweather-Gatti, but it was really a mismatch from the start.

Many didn't seem to think Joe had a shot against Lacy (myself included) and the fact that he schooled, or "flunked" Lacy as Larry Merchant put it, says a lot. It was definately a better performance in regards to proving people wrong and silencing critics being that Lacy was a better oposition to face than Gatti, but in terms of like, an all-out technical ass whooping its Maywaether Gatti.

But overall I think Calzaghe-Lacy takes it only because NOBODY expected it, and I think mostly EVERYBODY expected Mayweather-Gatti.

I watched both of these fights again this weekend and they were both unbelievable.

But which one impressed you the most??
                    PBF-Gatti...
Those were the days when I still do admire Floyd's boxing skills..
