Castillo is entitled to his opinion as well. Many people feel Floyd will win.

Castillo has earned his status as a legend. Hatton still has some work to do.

But, Floyd is not as fast as he was at 135 when he fought Castillo, nor is he as active.

We'll see how Floyd does with his 152 pound no-fat body vs Hatton...Floyd would have been better off 3 years ago.

Last summer, Floyd was looking for the fight for his November HBO date. He tried to amke a fight with Shane. After the Vargas rematch, Merchant asked Shane if he would take the mayweather fight.

Shane said "Uh, my tooth, um, er ...vacation". On national TV.

At that point, Floyd was truly ****ed. He was left without any decent opponents. Because everybody assumed that gatti was going to beat baldomir and get the WW belt. Of course, PBF couldn't go fight gatti again.

Lo and behold, baldomir destroys Gatti. And then it becomes a legitimate fight for PBF to face baldo. Then both had beat Judah. They both had beat Gatti. And Baldo had the linear title.

PBF had already bought out of his Top Rank contract for $750K. He hired GTP to do the promotion for 'Pretty Risky'. The fight did about 340K buys, and PBF made about 10.5 mil for that fight.

Shane's winter fight with Cintron fell apart, and he ended up fighting Collazo for about $2 mil.

Castillo has obviously been brain damaged more than I suspected from his fight against Hatton.

I thought it would take a few years for the damage to catch up with him, but it seems to have already kicked in. In a years time he'll be shaking more than Ali.

On the contrary, I think that Hatton would have been better off two or three years ago when he had a distinct size/strength advantage on Floyd.

PBF is going to have a wide speed advantage vs Hatton either way. 2005 or today. Ricky concedes that. But now, Hatton's strength advantage has dissipated....yet PBF retains the speed advantage.

And for those who don't think that Floyd is still fast, please remember this: Oscar was sparring with Shane Mosley for weeks. As soon as the fight was over, Oscar said "wow, he's fast".

Well, it wouldn't be the first time Mosley did something economically questionable. He has a bad history of moves like that..

I actually think Floyd has an easier time with Shane than with DLH despite what the majority says. Everybody's saying that Oscar was the most successful when he was using his jab, meanwhile Mosley hasn't had a meaningful jab and combos since the first Forrest fight. After that it's been a gift win against DLH, two losses against Winky, two ugly, close fights at 147 and two meaningless victories over Vargas. Oh yeah, he also beat Collazo.

To me, it's a belt and I can understand, as a fighter, that he'd want that belt, but let's be honest about it. Kostya Tszyu vacated that title and Ricky Hatton beat Kostya Tszyu. So, on the same list as Joe Calzaghe, he was the #1 by Ring magazine. Who cares about that (WBA belt)?

The same could be said about Floyd fighting Judah, he fought for a fake belt, that fight was completely meaningless and happened way too late.

You are right. ... which is fine. But it is just factually inaccurate when people say that Floyd was ducking him.

Shane ****ed up by not taking the fight. Or perhaps his boss told him to leave PBF for his Cinco de Mayo fight. Who knows?

But that delay cost Shane a ****load because Shane fought Collazo in an empty arena on WCB for $2 mil, and he isn't making that much for the Cotto fight either.

Hatton is making 3x what Shane is making this fall. PBF-RH is a bigger fight than PBF-SSM....and that is the business decision that Floyd made.

Another point: Shane can't allow his she-devil to muscle him into family vacations that delay fights at 35 years old. His clock is ticking.
