Yep i think i could beat Ali today as well and i'd kick sand in his face. But if im correct before the Hatton and Castillo fight, Castillo and his trainers were saying he was in the best shape of his life and his trainers said they had never seen him so good. They cant then turn around and say Castillo was past it, and as far as i know they havent said Castillo was past it. It is everyone else who says it.

      Yes, I do......

I will post all the details, but here is t0he quick skinny:

JLC failed to make weight for Corrales by 4 pounds. Diego cancelled the fight and sued JLC. Corrales was very pissed that JLC did not notify him that he couldn't make weight and that JLC showed up weighing 139. Diego died in a drunken motorcycle crash (0.25 BAC on a 0.08 limit). Chico's family continues to pursue the lawsuit on behalf of the estate.

      Here is the hypocrisy:

Diego HIMSELF showed up for the Casamayor fight weighing.... 139. My man Casamayor did not complain, and took the fight and beat Diego anyway.

It is because of this hypocrisy that I will not contribute to the Corrales family Benefit Fund, although I respected Chico greatly as a fighter. His family cannot benefit while the castillo family suffers economic loss.

Back to Castillo.... He walked away with $4,000 (four thousand) for the Ndjougo fight and about $100,000 (one hundred thousand) for the Hatton fight. This is because of the lawsuit and the NSAC fines.

That is a travesty. And it is because of these problems that JLC was undergoing that many people discount Hatton's victory. In part. How motivated would you be if you were practically fighting for free?

I know that the Hattonettes will work themselves into a lather. But what I just stated is fact.

        Hugh,

fair enough. But please give me a single example of a trainer honestly saying before the fight that his guy "is past it, and really shouldn't be in there" .

Isn't that part of the fundamental problem with boxing?

Do you remember what McGirt was saying before gatti/mayweather?

Didn't Morales say that he was "great" before pac 3? Did you believe it?

Castillo may have an agenda. (For reasons so obvious, I wont state them) But that doesn't make him wrong. However, I think Hatton has A CHANCE.. So I disagree with him there, but.. he's not my pick for the fight.

If castillo was shot he would not have fought, his whole future depended on this fight so he would have wanted it more than anything.
If he would not have fought he would have earned no money and therefore would not have had to give Chicos family out as they can't have what he's not got, plain and simple. If he would have won he would have gone back to big pay cheques and could have paid of chicos family. So are peeps really gonna say jose was not up to this fight

Ok, lets see, Castillos reasoning on Hatton having no chance against mayweather is that Jose himself pushed Mayweather but got stopped easily by Hatton
