According to a recent report in IC Wales, WBC/WBO middleweight champion Jermain Taylor, should he win against unbeaten Kelly Pavlik on Sept. 29, would like to face WBO super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe in 2008. [details]

Geez, this reminds me of the, "If Cotto and Margarito get by their bouts (and that's a big IF) they will meet by the end of the year."
This seems like the if is so much bigger this time... oh my god, neither of these fights are even close to in the bag for anyone.Comment

Hopkins is a bigger fight for Calzaghe.
That's my preference.
But I'll take the Taylor fight if that's what happens.Comment

Taylors the guy who beat Hopkins twice. I'd fight taylor if I were him. And it would be more entertaing then Hopkins hit and hold **** that he is doing alot lately. I'm thinking by the time this is 2008 that fight will have less relevacne and luster than it does now which is almost none anyways unless Taylor kills Pavlik completely. I am thinking however Pavlik whoops Taylor.Comment

This fight will not happen because my boy Pavlik is gonna KO Taylor, but if it did, Calzaghe would make that dumb ass Taylor look like Jeff Lacy.Comment
