De La Hoya's Quest of Resurrgence

The Golden One is at it again. De La Hoya would love to be in Mayweathers shoes. He can't stomach the idea of someone else taking the "Spotlight". His evident public support of Ricky Hatton is nothing more than an envy driven tirade. You are no longer the "Headlining" figure, Golden Boy. Those wonderful days are over. Sure he would love to matched up against any young rising star, who happens to be much smaller. This would somehow restore some of the once deserved, ring prominence. At this point in your career I'd be more interested in seeing you setting a match with Vernon Forest, who happens to be in your, 154lb weight class. Just as it was avoided in the De La Hoya Heydays; This match would never take place (For one reason only: High Risk). Damn Oscar! The stage is big enough for everyone. You have solidified you place in boxing history, but you must realize this one essential fact, Your "Star Power" has faded. Get over it!
