Later tonight, Showtime will televise a very underrated card featuring a doubleheader that is sure to please. The live card, promoted by Don King Productions and Gary Shaw, takes place at the Miami Arena, in Florida.
In the main event, Tomasz Adamek (31-0, 20 KOs) will defend his WBC light heavyweight title against unbeaten challenger "Bad" Chad Dawson (23-0, 15 KOs).
Adamek is the man that most experts hold responsible for regeneration of the light heavyweight division in the post-Antonio Tarver era. This Polish fighter is no Andrew Golota, he never backs away from a fight and packs a mean punch to boot. The first bout with Paul Briggs in 2005 was a fight-of-year type war that got the attention of the boxing public, and more importantly, the major television networks. It was no surprise that HBO televised his rematch with Briggs in 2006, which turned out to be another fight-of-year candidate.
