I've seen some amazing stuff in NSB in my time, but little has left me as gobsmacked as reading the Paler using the F word was him "losing his temper" (when it was obvious even to the lowliest ****** that the obese ginger chav was joking).
I remember Floyd getting nasty with Gatti and Gatti looking like he'd messed himself. I remember Floyd in Oscar's face and Oscar ratherly camply losing his temper ("It's more fuel!!")
But I've yet to see anyone beforehand so expertly defuse Floyd's schtick. Sure, I'll hear all the "Brit" bollocks, but there was really little that Floyd did that had any effect on the Paler.
You might argue that the ginge should have said something to Floyd when Floyd was in his face - maybe he should have. But people who say ****** **** like that are, really, dumbos who walk down the street going "yo, you wanna ****in' piece of this?"
What better way to piss off someone who's trying to get a rise out of you than... not giving him a rise?
I also point out that we haven't seen all of these conferences, only highlights. I don't know at which location Hatton (clearly joking, despite what FloydIsDaBest said in his thread) said to Floyd "you're scaring me", so there might be more.
There are maybe the odd parts which Hatton could have done better, but that Manc chav has done well IMO. In fact, he's so diffused Floyd that Floyd is even becoming likeable.
That's my take... doubtless it'll be the take of a "Brit" (
