this thread maybe a few years too late, but i just watched that fight again, i had mayweather ahead and don't really see why it is such a BIG controversy.

People's inability to score fights. It was close, but Mayweather won. Boxing is scored round by round... round by round. People get caught up in their own bull **** and who they're rooting for instead of scoring fights properly.

If Floyd didn't have the point taken off him then it would have been a closer call yes, but he did. I had JLC winning by atleast 2 rounds.

Jesus, are you nuts? Do you really say to the press BEFORE the fight what are your weaknesses so your opponent can pick them up? I've yet to see a fighter point out his weaknesses (read injuries) before a fight.

This actually makes me feel better about scoring the fight 114-112 for Mayweather. I actually do know that this man isn't even a Floyd fan, so it's not just people who like Floyd that think he won the fight.
