I went to the fight because my new job gave me tickets because they own a boxing promotional company. This was the first fight i have been to in my life. I was excited to be their but at the same time i started to feel sad because of the talent that I had but threw away. After a couple of beers, my mood changed and I started to mingle with the crowd. I met cutman Joe Chavez, former champ Armando Muniz,Maxboxing Steve Kim. As I was leaving, Mantecas Manuel Medina appeared and I said to him "Mantecas" and he turned around and we spoke. I asked him about his next fight and he said he was going to fight Carlos Hernadez. He was cool to talk as were all those that i met.He is super skinny and his nose is all skin and no cartilage but it was an honor to meet him. I just wanted to share my night and share my exprience going to my first fight after being a fan for 20 yrs.

Good stuff man, U should go to more fights, Boxing fans I think dont go to enough fights. I live in Vegas so I try to go to alot of fights, I was going to the Marquez Vs Juarez card but They cancelled it. There will be a good card in Morongo this Month I believe.

Man, "mantecas" is ancient, this guy as old as he is and still competing on the top level, he is an old school fighter. The guy is ageless. He's fought everybody.

I was surprised at how easy of a fight this was for him. I don't think he's elite, but he's definantly legit.

Chambers-Brock is part of the IBF tourney, the winner fights the winner of Povetkin/Byrd.

Arreola is never going to be a top heavy in today's division.

My new job will be the site for Oct.5th showbox fights. I didn't know that I would be in such a great postion when I started my new job. They gave me free tickets for the Arreola fight and they will give me tickets for the Showbox fights. The owner of the company is promoting Timothy Bradley. The manager of my job knows that I am a huge fight fan, so maybe down the line I will get a shot to work for a boxing promotional company. I will say my prayers every night for that opportunity to happen.
