True or False? If Ali were around today.....

the Floyd Mayweather bashers would be Muhammad Ali bashers. They would be sick of him wracking up wins in a weak heavyweight division and calling himself the greatest fighter who ever lived. True or False?

False. Ali finished people off and went for the KO, Floyd does nothing of the sort because he has no killer instinct anymore. Can you imagine floyd pulling off a late round ko like Ali vs Patterson/Wepner/Lyle/ Bonavena?

Ali wouldn't be a boxer in this era

In Britain btw nobody like Ali until the 70's, he wasn't accepted

Why wouldn't Ali be a boxer in this era?

Ali got thrashed back in the days too, probably more so then than he would now. It's pretty much accepted behavior to act like a lunatic nowadays, so it wouldn' be shocking.

Ali and Floyd can't be compared personality-wise. Ali was a true killer in the ring, a bad man, as he said himself.
The look in his eyes when he fought is plain scary. He really wanted to hurt some of those poor souls in there...
Floyd utilizes a more scientific approach when he fights, opting to pick the opponent apart with technical skill. Ali just wanted to hurt you, play with you and make a fool out of you.

exactly, the people that disliked Ali(I dont care for him myself) did it because he was a trash-talker, but everyone respected what he did in the ring. He's a guy you love to hate. Floyd, on the other hand, trash talks AND has disrespected in-ring work.

false, ali would have been in great fights against tyson, lenox, holyfield, the klichtkos and close out the division and dominate the heavweight division for the past decade...

Most def, for the last time before we let History re-write this for us, Clay was HATED, especially in that time when racial tension was high, it took years for this guy to get the mainstream credit he did does now.

Of course, but the same dudes who dont like floyd probably would not like ali, although they use hindsight an excuse to say otherwise.

Ali is still around today. He's just got no control of his body.

I heard he was planning a come back fight against Bruno - does anyone know if this is true?
