HBO's attempt to hype Taylor is kinda laughable. They dont have any full fights of his to show because there's none they have that he looks great in so on their highlight reel they show him knocking out the first guy he ever faced, Eduard the last guy he stopped, and somebody else. Then a couple sloppy fluries against Hopkins and Wright.

I'm saying this right now. Kelly is going to kill this idiot. Pavlik's going going to impose the type of fight he wants on Taylor and that is the most important thing. Ok, in that scenario you got a guy Taylor who cant get the better of the exchanges or hurt guys like Ouma and Wright, and who hasn't stopped an opponent since Eduard.
I highly doubt that he will kill taylor. He might stun taylor a couple of times but thats about it. If hop and wright which were true middleweights couldn't stop jermain what makes you think pavlik can? Yeah pavlik is strong but the man is sloppy. Taylor will expose that and eventually win the fight. He won't knock pavlik out but i think he will win by unaminous decision.

and about Kelly Pavlik's level of opposition, something people on this board are obsessed with, are now and were before the Miranda fight. Pavlik has fought better opposition and been more dominant against than Taylor prior to fighting Hopkins.

Hey at least Pavlik fights real middleweights. Taylor up until now is a protected HBO fighter who won the first Hopkins fight barely and should have lost the second, should have lost to Wright and should have lost against Spinks all being Jr middleweights or welterweights!!! Give me a break!! if there's any hype in this fight it's with taylors padded record.

Taylor has predcited a 3rd round KO, right? Well, he'll need to get close to Pavlik for that to happen. He won't do it from the outside, so Pavlik will land something early in this fight.

I predict Taylor doesn't respond well to Pavlik's first clean shot and quickly feels his game plan is wrong. Like you say, he hasn't been in with a heavy-handed ****er who can keep coming round after round, so he won't like Pavlik's stuff.

I expect Taylor will then also get stressed about Pavili's durability, when he recognizes Pavlik is durable. He'll then do what he's done before, which is ignore Stewart's instruction to fight strictly from the outside. Then it's Taylor fighting Pavlik's fight and it's becomes a long night.

Yeah I think this fight will more of challenge than taylor and manny give credit for. This will a test to taylor on how well he handles a big puncher that doesn't stop punching. I believe he will be able to pull it off by decision.

Taylor will walk on Pavlik's face

Taylor is a very talented fighter who time is now. Taylor has proven himself over and over again. He's proven he has a heart of a champion, he carry his self well, he's very humble and he can box like hell. Pavlik is overrated, overhyped and will be a punching bag for Jermaine. Finally Jermaine will get his respect and shut up the band wagoners. Taylor is for real!!!!!

Who's the last opponents that Hopkins or especially Wright has stopped? Even at 154 it's been years since Wright has stopped Anybody.

yeah good point but they are still great fighters with great skill. Pavlik doesn't even have half the skill those guys possessed. And Taylor nor pavlik will get knocked out. It will boil down to has the better boxing skill which I'm leaning towards taylor.

whatever 'skill' means. Pavlik would beat Winky Wright. But he's not 'skilled.' Not even half as 'skilled.'

If zertuche found pavlik easily in their fight I can imagine it will be a lot easier for a fighter like Taylor. Pavlik has a good chin but zertuche was catching him a lot with some winging hooks and upercuts. Cant deny that, because at the end of the fight Pavlik admitting he got hit with a lot of ****** punches.
