Possibility of Peņalosa undercard in Mayweather-Hatton fight... just a thought...
In *********.com's interview with MAB, MAB said that Hatton will be in his corner come fight night with Pacman...
If this is the case, maybe Pac should call up pretty boy and ask him to be in his corner too or just accompany as he enters the ring. Just imagine what a sight that would be, Hatton and Mayweather being both present in the "will to win", both atop the ring. It will no doubt add to the glamour of the already spectacular rematch plus a bonus hype to the PBF-Hatton fight on December?
Perhaps you will be asking.. What good will that be for the Pacman and the filipino fight fans?
In exchange for free advertisement and the added hype his presence with pacman will bring for his december fight, pbf should allow one of pacman's fighters to fight in the undercard with his fight against hatton. Considering that peņalosa is currently a champion, he would be the logical and most acceptable choice under mp promotions, probably against jorge arce or even ponce de leon. Since the latter is a gbp fighter, it would be in the business interest of golden boy, who is co-promoting the pbf-hatton fight, to allow such undercard to be staged. As for pbf, who himself co-promotes his fight against hatton, the financial aspect of such undercard will not be easy to ignore for the simple reason that his fight will not now only be appealable to american and british fight fans, but will certainly sell to the latino and filipino communities. It will truly be a memorable event for boxing and a prosperous endeavor for him.
All told MP promotions will profit as well in such a proposal because peņalosa will surely earn more than what he earned the previous fight... As for us Filipino fight fans, wouldn't it be a delight to see peņalosa against ponce de leon one more time.. or better yet, peņalosa against the fire-breathing jorge arce. Either of these two fights will be a worhty undercard in the pbf-hatton fight to which golden boy and pbf will certainly agree.
And, all it takes is for manny to call up pbf and ask the latter to accompany him as he enters the ring in his rematch with mab.
