    That's neither here, nor there.

He was born in Panama, and upon introduction to the HOF praised his home country and raised the flag behind him.

    He's not a Mexican, he's a Panamanian.

      Greatest Latino Fighters

Does anyone know if there are official standings or if ESPN, Ring magazine or anyone else ever officially ranked the top Latino fighter of all time?

ring had duran #5 on their top 80 list of the last 80 years, the higest of any latino fighter.

i'm sure no latino fighters before then they would rank above duran, or monzon for that matter.

Word, that's who my vote went to.

Ran the game on the Minimumweight division for years, then moved up and beat the best at Light Flyweight before retiring. Impressive.

I don't see how anyone else in reality could be an option, and I don't think Monzon comes close. He was a great Champion but Duran is one of the five or ten greatest fighters of all time perhaps.
