Are we completely disregarding the fact that Taylor doesn't keep his hands up?

The fact that Jermaine doesnt keep his hands up plays a role in some fights but not this one, Winky Wright has a great jab and when mixed with the defense of Taylor the end result is a swollen shut left eye of Taylor.... Kelly Pavlik on the other hand lacks the movement speed and accruacy on the jab that Winky has and also is more of a smotherer in the sense he likes to come forward leading with a 1-2 rather then a 1-1-1 like a Winky Wright.... Taylor for the most part is agile enough to be able to avoid and real damage i think that pavlik will dish out from the jab or anyother punch for that matter!

He kept his up all night vs Cory spinks and it didn't get him nowhere. Maybe that's because cory spinks is a difficult fighter but I think taylor's offense isn't as effective when he keeps his hands all the way up as it is when he keeps his jabbing hand down like he usually does.

I would have to agree on that. There are fighters who fight like that but at the same time are good at moving their head and out of the way of punches. Taylor does move his head sometimes but not alot. he still takes punches. I hope he works on that in training because Pavlik is too strong of an opponent to make a mistake of not moving your head.
