De La Hoya has had some weird decisions in his Boxing Career

Won fights that he should have lost: Sturm, Whitaker, Quartey

Lost fights that he should have won: Mosley II, Trinidad

His correct record should be 38-6 with wins over Mosley and Trinidad and losses over Mayweather, Hopkins, Mosley I, Whitaker, Quartey, Sturm.

Either way he has a great boxing career and FOUGHT EVERYONE.

    Mayweather
    Hopkins
    Vargas
    Gatti
    Trinidad
    Mosley
    Whitaker
    Quartey
    Hernandez
    Camacho
    Chavez

Damn, if he won against all of those he would have been one of the greatest of all time. (No Sarcasm) When you have W's over Trinidad, Hopkins, Mayweather, Mosley, Whitaker, That seals the deal because all of them were/are P4P Fighters.

Just imagine Oscar 44-0 with all those wins.

I think it is hard for anyone who is not 70 years old to stack up that opposition against who SRR fought, but those names right there would place him as the greatest of all time in my opinion.

he beat quartey and whitaker......clearly....the only one you can make a case for is quartey, but i had it a by a point for Ike going into the 12 and gave it to oscar with the knockdown....youre just talking **** if you really think whitaker beat him...

He beat Quartey and Whitaker Clearly? I know he is in the list of your favourite fighters but come on! How can you even say he beat them? Quartey CLEARLY beat him even Oscar fans say draw at most and some admit oscar should have lost, Whitaker beat Oscar in a close fight but Oscar got it.

If you make a poll on boxingscene I guarantee you however watched these fights will tell you Quartey/Whitaker beat Oscar, The whitaker one was close and I could have seen it either way really but most people will tell you Whitaker won the fight by a point or two, but the Quartey one was'nt even that close he won 8 rounds.

But it makes up for the Trinidad and Mosley fights, Oscar should have won those period.

I had Oscar beating Whitaker the first time I saw it. Its been a while though.

Quartey clearly won the fight. He easily won eight rounds with his jab. Oscar was standing there not throwing punches. People always say Oscar's knockdown sealed it, and completely ignore the prior rounds. Quartey was up 8-3 before the dramatic 12th round on my card. I just find it hard to score 6 rounds for Oscar. Five at the most, which would be a draw.
