~My Take On What Will Happen December 8th~

Veteran HBO Commentator, Jim Lampley, once stated something to the extent of, "The logical choice is to always choose Floyd Mayweather Jr. by Unanimous Decision."... That has been the consensus opinion in generally every bout he has confidently entered and I firmly agree that this match-up with Ricky Hatton will provide no reason for a change of heart...

The British brawler will attempt to start slow, but eventually succumb to his usual method of launching power shots to the body and head, which will be slickly parried and/or blocked by the Philly Shell defense of Mayeather Jr...
Floyd will expertly maneuver his way around the canvas and pot shot his way to a Unanimous Decision victory...

^ THIS IS WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN AND MOST LIKELY WILL OCCUR ^

    HERE IS MY OPINION

Ricky Hatton will start slow in an attempt to get a feel for the enigmatic mystery that is the style of Floyd Mayweather Jr... Floyd, convinced that his superior size will smother the natural Junior Welterweight, will gain confidence and attempt to out-punch and out-power the smaller Hatton... Hatton will battle back and suprise Mayweather with his own level of power and Floyd will then settle into his natural groove of in-and-out offense, yet Ricky will refuse to let Floyd out-box him, encouraging him to attack the Pretty Boy in an ODLH type fashion... ( Hatton at this stage in his career has superior footspeed and lateral movement than that of a 34 year old Oscar )
Hatton will be more successful in catching up with Floyd, than De La Hoya, but he will most likely not be able to affectively land as in the case of Oscar..............
All in All, I believe this bout may provide more drama than expected and could possibly be an exciting fight...... Floyd may beautifully and brutally embarass Hatton a la Mayweather-Gatti, or, Ricky Hatton could shock the world by flooring the consensus Pound-4-Pound champ with a 10 count...
    Who really knows???
I just can't wait to find out.

I think its up in the air.

Mayweather is far better skill wise, talent wise. Hatton will bring it to him and I believe he'll give Mayweather one hell of a fight. No comparisons to Gatti-Mayweather will be made after this fight, of that I am certain. My head says Mayweather UD....BUT I wouldn't be shocked if Hatton somehow pulled it out.

Basically I'm saying its a bloody good fight.

I think Hatton will come hard early , he will try and make a statement right of the get go , he has too , if he starts slow like you say he will get owned and not get into the fight , he needs to get respect from Floyd quickly .

at no point during this match will Hatton fight at a slow pace. Ive heard him say he will beat Floyd with the pace he is going to set, which is usually part of the Hatton strategy against any of his opponent. Hatton will undoubtedly bring the fastest pace of pressure that Floyd has experienced and If Floyd has spent too much time dancing with the stars instaed of training he might be seeing stars that night.

Bert Sugar is a much better choice than Duva, and I believe your assumption of UD is close to exact.
