You guys say Mayweather makes claims that he doesn't back up?

    Check out what Calzaghe said:

"I'm going to make my demolition of Jeff Lacy look ordinary compared to what I'm going to do to Kessler."

Umm, you've definately never heard Mayweather say that he is going to make his performance against Gatti look like an ordinary performance. What an absurd claim from Calzaghe!

He did say he was going to expose the holes in Judah's game, and he did.

Your old avatar was better, but at least it's still Zab "Super" Judah.

Calzaghe is trying to sell a fight. WHo knows.. he hasn't fought yet, so you don't know if he has backed up those words or not. What if he Lacy's him for 7 or 8 rounds, then KO or TKOs him? That would make Lacy look like a much better fighter.

If he does that to Kessler, he really might deserve to be P4P #1. Wow.

I'll bet that doesn't happen though.

Anyways, it just seems weird that other people can do this **** to sell their fight, and it's okay, but if Floyd does it, he's cast into the depths of hell by most boxing fans.

Personally it doesn't really bother me, and it shouldn't bother you either. Every fighter has critics. Not only PBF.

Double standards don't make much sense, and usually piss me off, regardless of who they target.

I just defended Hatton in another thread that the Castillo fight wasn't a cakewalk for him, it was a great performance, no matter what Castillo looked like. People who say Mayweather-Gatti was a shining moment for Mayweather and Hatton-Castillo was a bad fight are excercising the double standard, so I call it out.
