    Humerto Soto Fought Tonight

WBC #2/WBO #3/WBA #4 super featherweight contender Humberto "Zorrita" Soto (43-5-2, 27 KOs) scored a third round knockout over Ismael "Bolillito" Gonzalez (18-13, 7 KOs) in a tuneup fight on Friday night in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. Gonzalez came to fight and was ready to trade, which worked to his detriment as Soto knocked him cold with a left hook. Soto previously stopped Gonzalez in ten rounds back in 2004. Next up for Soto is a November 17 HBO date against WBO 130lb champion Joan Guzman.

Soto has high tech concrete in those fists of his, even if this particular guy he fought was pretty bad.

If he can beat Guzman in impressive fashion, he just might be the best fighter at 130lbs, which is certainly saying something.
This seems like the most unhyped fight this year to me...these are two outstanding fighters, its gonna be a great show when they get in the ring.

Soto is looking unstopable as of late, I'm thinking he takes Guzman. I don't think the big names are in any hurry to fight Soto, even though hes clearly earned his spot as one of the best in the division.

well he IS fighting Guzman for the WBO title, so I wouldnt say that anyone is ducking him. also you have to remember, he was fighting at Featherweight not too long ago...so he had to get back in the 130lb rankings with some wins there first before he was going to get any title shots or fights against the big names.
I think the fight against Gusman is happening exactly when it should. And Im not positive how Soto will deal with Guzman's style. This is a fight Im looking very forward to.

Soto seems like he just likes to fight taking a kind of risky fight where he could get cut or injured that would put his fight with Guzman in jeopardy. Nice to see nothing happened though. Soto has power and is very accurate with his punches I see him possibly stopping Guzman in the late rounds.
