just don't know what u guys see in him? sure he has allot of KOs and is exciting, but he only beat Miranda who was probably overrated himself. i mean look at his opposition compared to Taylors, Taylor has less fights and his oppositions combined record is 607-114 while Pavlicks is 449-279, so why do people think that Taylor is gonna lose, he has seen much better than Pavlick in his Career, Taylor will prove that beating one bum does not get u past the champ.

      Undefeated syndrome...

People also thought Miranda was good because he only had 1 loss (where he got 5 points deducted through the course of the fight). The truth is that Miranda is the second coming of Ricardo Mayorga, strong as ****, and unskilled as anyone can possibly be. Any decent boxer who can avoid telegraphed haymakers could beat Miranda.

Taylor on the other hand has an undefeated record against a who's who of boxing. Yes he squeeked by against Hopkins both times. Question: Who has dominated Hopkins? No one, so I don't know everyone expects Taylor to dominate the world's best. Yes he drew with Wright. Again, who has beaten Wright convincingly? Who marked his face up that bad other than Taylor? No one. I don't know why Jermain Taylor has so many critics, I think he is a good fighter, and I think he will have an easier time with Pavlik than everyone thinks he is going to.

Wow, you scored Taylor-Spinks for Spinks? What a great boxing judge you would make.

People tend to have a "what have you done for me latley" mind frame. Taylor recently participated in one of the worst boxing matches ever and Pavlik, on the same card, had a highlight reel knockout against someone who people believed was dangerous. I guess it's a bit understandable at this point and time as to why they think Pavlik will win, he has all the momentum.

Understandable, but ******. Does Rafael Marquez deserve to be put in the depths of hell of the 122 divison because he got knocked out? Hell no. Use some common sense people.

They will see budd, right after Taylor's hand is raised in victory.

I'm picking Taylor by a close decision; though a Pavlik KO is a possibility

You don't judge a fight just by stats; you have to analyze the specific tendencies of each guy and with taylor that's not easy. Can Pavlik counter Taylor's jab enough to discourage it? Can he hit Taylor enough to the body to eventually start sneaking those big rights upstairs? Will Taylor's face swell? How will Pavlik react to Taylor's body shots? Will Taylor let Pavlik force him to back up? Can Pavlik corner him and get off those huge flurries? How will the judges score Pavlik's late flurries against whatever happens in the early parts of each round?

You just can't say, "Taylor beat Hopkins, therefore . . ."
