      A top venue in the so-called Mecca of boxing holds 16k... thats like the size of a stadium of a first division team over here...

        You would think a fight as big as this would be held at a much bigger venue, Hatton could maybe get 15k fans to travel across the pond on his own.

          Yeah its a joke that the yanks continously **** on about how such and such should come to America to prove themselves but they haven't got anywhere decent to stage the fights.

                hatton/mayweather could easily do as many tickets as calzaghe/kessler if they had the brains to hold the fight in the uk.

                surely, bigger crowds = bigger cash

                  Arena's aren't big in the US ... stadiums are

                  the smallest baseball stadium can hold 37 thousand

                  but would boxing ever do that? probably not, cuz it isn't big enough.
