I think nobody went out better than Marvin Hagler.

He lost a fight that many thought he won. he had always railed against the "system" in boxing, & the "goodbye, **** you" he gave to the system, has really added to his aura.

We never saw him hurt, or truly beaten. He never came back.

Tito came back at the perfect time, someone needed to bring up some fresh challenge in a division that's been dominated for a long time by Hopkins..Having said that...if Tito wins against Hopkins in a future fight, wouldn't that be a perfect time to retire ???

Well we could have been saying Jones if he would have retired immediately after the Ruiz fight...

Rocky for sure... but when a fighter retires on top you always "wonder" how much further he could have gone.

What if Rocky came back to fight Patterson who was calling him out?

                  50-0?

It kinda sucks that we'll never know.

He officially retired, then was killed (i think) one day before his 49th birthday in a plane crash - that truly sucks
