I think Zab's power is really overrated. He hasn't really hurt a top, top level guy that actually has a little bit of a beard. The reason he knocks these tomato can's out is because of his quickness and they don't see the punch coming.

He usued to want to be a professional body builder or something of that sort. Bench pressing more than heavyweights I believe.Comment

Zab is a very sharp puncher. He stunned Tszyu in round 1. He buzzed Floyd early and he buzzed Cotto with that uppercut.
He has thunder in that left hand... just can't finish.Comment

Yes, Shane lifted since high school, and was benching 300+ in his steroid days. But, very different types of power.
I betcha Tommy Hearns couldn't bench much.Comment

Hey some people have an apptitude for punching and some are strong as hell and can smash faces in. We know who the more complete fighter is but it still remains to be seen who hits harder. Cotto will be able to answer that question come the 11th of November.Comment

While I agree that De La Hoya knows about as well as any of us because he never tasted a punch from Judah - I'll have to give him the benefit of the doubt because of his status as a pro, two time opponent of Mosley, and elder statesman in the sport of Boxing.
I think Smokin made a good point that a great source of Judah's percieved power is the speed of his punches and the fact that his opponents tend not to see them coming - although many of Judah's KD's and KO's have come from straights right down the middle when opponents were fully fronted.Comment

From the look of things. I'd assume Mosley hits harder than Judah. We'll find out. My moneys on Mosley.Comment
