He could have had good matches against other small welterweights. Shane Mosley and Arturo Gatti come to mind. But these fights would probably never have happened.
If diego corrales hadn't died, would he have been able to make a comeback?

Possibly at 140, but not 147. He was practically brutilized by Clottey. As much as I loved and respected his warrior mentality, he was out of his league at 147.So yeah, he was pretty much in the ****hole at the end of his career. 3 losses in a row, owed money to the IRS, and ****.
The question is do you think he could have come back and win some good fights. Maybe not become a super great world champion again, but do you think he could have comeback?
I think it could have been possible. He could have fought someone like Baldomir, Judah, and some other not as good fighters, but yet good enough to get some cash and valuable wins.
