Definitions of war on the Web:
* the waging of armed conflict against an enemy; "thousands of people were killed in the war"
* a legal state created by a declaration of war and ended by official declaration during which the international rules of war apply; "war was declared in November but actual fighting did not begin until the following spring"
* an active struggle between competing en******; "a price war"; "a war of wits"; "diplomatic warfare"
* a concerted campaign to end something that is injurious; "the war on poverty"; "the war against crime"
* make or wage war

* War is a state of widespread conflict between states, organisations, or relatively large groups of people, which is characterised by the use of violent, physical force between combatants or upon civilians. Other terms for war, which often serve as euphemisms, include armed conflict, hostilities, and police action (see limitations on war below). War is contrasted with peace, which is usually defined as the absence of war.

They were appeasers until Hitler decided that he wanted to take over. Don't you forget that.
BTW, Vietnam wasn't a war, and neither is Iraq. Congress never formally declared war, they're just bellicose engagements. Just like Britain had with India when it lost the biggest chunk of land they ever had.
Britain grew most of its own food which is why rationing came into force.
The soviets defeated Hitler...they committed about 300 times the resources of the US.
Stop living in a bubble.

It wasnt the americans or the russians that helped win the war. it was little ol us when we took the fight to them after they invaded poland. We were there for the long haul, the U.S sat back and waited ........
