Wlad needs to fight a champ and if he is going to unify which is questionable he needs to start soon. He's ready now and he's not getting any younger. We all know the fight game is unpredictable we can't say how much longer Wlad will be able to unify. For all we know the Russians could produce another Valuev (except this one has skill) and now where does the leave him. Also Vitali could come back at any time and if he is in fact better he could do some real damage in the division. If he won't fight his brother than he better unify before Vit can get back. Also as part of my on going campaign Wlad should have his next fight on basic cable.

you simply cannot counter or try to box with Wlad. hes too fast, hits too hard, and has way too much of a reach advantage in this situation. isnt Chagaev like 6'2? that doesnt bode well.
Chagaev may have overcome reach with Valuev, but Valuev is NO Klitschko. I think considering his style of fighting and physical qualities, the southpaw stance would be death when youre fighting a Klitschko
Wlad is less agressive and uses less variety in his offense under Manny's guidance, but does position himself better and economically punches better and sets things up great with his jab now. Your right Chagaev isn't half as explosive as Sanders, he's twice as explosive. Listen name all the great Ko's Sanders has. He was in a war with the steel-chinned Hasim Rahman, that speaks volumes. So many fighters from around the world have told me about Chagaev's power, and his hepatitis, but thats another story. I have never sparred him nor Wlad for that matter, just seen them in the gyms. 6'2" in all honesty is a bit generous for Ruslan, well maybe maybe not, he's roughly my height and im only 6'0", he is a bit taller and 2" isn't all that much when face to face. Who has Ko'd Ruiz, David Tua thats all. And Ruiz used some great advice from some insiders on how to fight Chagaev. It seems that Ruslan lacks some peripheal vision, meaning he is susceptable to uppercuts on the inside. He can't see them coming. This started about 3 years ago. Watch the fight and count how many times you see Huggy-Bear tag Chagaev with those punches. Also, who besides Tua also looked good beating Ruiz, the man is tougher than advertised and very very smart int he ring. I have had many arguments with fighters trying to get them to fight Ruiz or not to fight Ruiz. Basically all I am saying is don't underestimate someone like Chagaev. He most assuredly can hit and has solid skills. He doesn't take his conditioning serious enough and Wlad has weighed roughly within the same 5lbs for the last 4 years I believe. It would be a tactical fight adn not a brawl in which many believe is the only way to take Wlad out. Plus a counter punch not seen can cause signifcantly greater damage than just a power shot.

I dont think anyone around right now Really has a chance..

Chagaev?? are people just saying that because he is a SouthPaw?? He is NO Corrie Sanders.. Chagaev is a Decent Boxer.. Who might be able to nullify some of Wlads Jabbing.. But would then just be open to Right hand counters himself.. No one can take Too many Wald rigth hands..
Corrie Sanders was Explosive and His arms freakishly long.. And He had serious POP..
        There is no comparison..
Ruslan is the best boxer to hit the division in many years. He'll make a very tricky fight for Wlad, though I don't think he'll be able to get to the final bell on his feet. I can't even think of the last counterpuncher in his league for a guy that size.

I'm sorry to interrupt the flow of boxing jargon, but these are some seriously nice exchanges going on between Azza and Brook.

            Kudos, guys.

I'm sorry to interrupt your very valid arguments, but I've always found that these Wlad debates are like a dog running around his prize rabbit.

The end result is this: Wlad wins. So why not cut out the banter that always comes with it?
