    News on Winky Wright?

He said he was going back down to 160 after the Hopkins fight. Has anyone heard anything about who/when he will be fighting next?

Not sure but he said he wanted Oscar. And the way he was talking was as if he only wanted to fight one more time. Which is unfortunate. Hopefully he gets to figth pavlik if he beats Taylor.

Well he needs a plan B, he is not going to fight Oscar at 160. Oscar just moved down from 154 to 147... and said that is his better weight. It's the same reason why De La Hoya-Trinidad 2 won't ever be happening.

I'd like to see a rematch with Taylor (assuming he wins).

He would manhandle Pavlik if he won... I'm sorry to all the Pavlik fans, but that would be a slaughter. It would probably look a lot like the Wright-Trinidad fight. He could beat Arthur Abraham for his IBF belt pretty easily IMO. I don't think anyone can give him problems at middleweight right now.

He has a big cut to heal so I'm sure he is taking his time.

Yes I agree with everything you said. I think Wink is getting pushed to the side after 1 loss in like 12 fights. However, I think the Taylor fight won't happen because Jermain is growing out of the division. And I really see him fighting Calzaghe soon for some reason. With that said I think Pavlik is ideal for him. Abraham maybe it may materialize. I don't see Vernon coming up to 160 and I don't see Winky going down to 154. Maybe if Mayorga wins he could fight him at 160. I would love to see my boy Winky fight him. That would be funny. I think Mayorga would have the lowest connect percentage of all time in that fight.

He doesn't have the stamina to carry the weight at 170. If he did maybe a fight with Roy could have happened. Or maybe Tarver. I think his options are limited at the moment but maybe things will surace. I just want Winky to get one more big win. And as a fan I will satisfied and won't be mad if he retires.

There isnt much that Winky could do at 160 the division is practically dead he should move to 168 in my opinion.

Winky could fight Vernon Forrest, Pavlik, or a contender at 160. Why not Arthur Abraham, Sturm, etc.

A rematch with Jermain probably won't happen cuz Jermain is moving up. Unless Winky stays at 170.

As long as he stays away from the Krispy Kremes he should be able to make a comeback.
