I don't think Judah was being classless. I think it was a case of his confidence level being low, and he was trying to reassure himself, if anything, that he could win the fight. You have to remember Judah was on a serious losing streak, and his only non loss in the last 4 years was a no contest on "Friday Night Fights".

I think he expected to plow right through Vazquez, and when he couldn't, he got shaken up a bit. I think his taunting and pointing to his chest (saying "I got heart" essentially) was a way of him trying to rebuild some of his obviously lost confidence in himself.

zab was obviously trying to get rounds in, and his corner told him to 'put on a show' in the later rounds. After the fight, Zab also said he broke his left hand in the 7/8th round, which is why he couldnt throw it very much at all. After looking at the replays he seemed to be telling the truth. His taunting wasn't that bad, I thought it was funny...it was Zab being Zab. I think he is slowing down his style so he doesn't fade out in the later rounds anymore

If you're going to showboat at the beginning of the round, at least close the show that round... Vazquez is getting beat on the scorecards, but he's outshined Judah in terms of character
he was taunting him to get him to come forward towards him

Who cares?? I don't really. I think you guys are reading into this a little too much. Showboating is part of athletics.

A part of athletics for poor sportsmen. There are other ways of initiating contact if that's what he was trying to do. It wasn't a little "razzle dazzle" while he was closing the show - it was out of nowhere, he didn't back it up, and it made him look like an ass...

Had I been posting on boxingscene as I watched Malignaggi a few years back either against Cano or the Shobox fight before that, I would have gotten on him too in a thread - it was still well before the end of the fight and obviously Paulie isn't going to KO too many folks... but I bring that up because it's a shame someone polluted the thread with a racial stereotype. Judah's race had nothing to do with my criticism

You always make solid points here man. I was just wondering what you thought about my post, and if it maybe had any credibility in it at all? Was I giving udah too much credit? Or do you think it was a combination of both perhaps?

I've seen numerous Judah "lack of class" moments and actually experienced his likely-cultured entourage live at the Spinks II fight, so you'll forgive me if I don't give him the benefit of the doubt...
