He's a model of success to inner city youth. And really if you flip the channels maybe he's just trying to emulate how people act on TV shows.

Something is telling me the exact reason you made this thread was to get a Mayweather flame session to start up, which is pretty lame.

wtf are you guys talking about, this is BOXING, what matters is what these guys do in the ring more than anything else, people support Mayweather because hes unbelievably skilled and physically conditioned, and it makes him win high level fights in the ring.

...I dont know whats going on in your opening statement into this thread either, haha.
and I doubt that people who dont support Mayweather are against Hatton. doesnt really make sense.

Tony Booth was in a statement in another thread thinks of this as a nationalistic battle. His reference to 'McClelland' very low class guy.

Tony Booth is on his way to 100 losses, I would take what he says with a grain of salt. It's just h ow Americans sare, we aren't the type to go all the way to another country like some of the brits do, that doesn't make us any less of fans though.

                    UM, not really.

My gf DVR's Oprah Winfrey every day. Yesterday, Bill Clinton was on with Andre Agassi. Apparently, Agassi has started this school in his hometown of LasVegas and the students are doing very well. Despite being in the poorest section of Las Vegas, it has earned national excellence.

All of this is to say that it's not HOW you earn your fame, it's what you do with it. Looking up to an athlete is fine. As long as that person is doing the right things. Athletic performance and social achievement are not mutually exclusive.

I wouldn't mind my nonexistent kid looking up to David Robinson. For example.
