Hatton should be wrestling

Surely that's a contradiction on what you said earlier. First of all you say is all he does is hold and should be a wrestler, then you say it's not that I don't think he's an exciting fighter, which one is he? I know he hold a fair bit, but if youv'e seen all his fights and I have then you'll realise that he throws a tremendous amount of punches per round, he is one of the best body punchers if not the best in boxing today, has pretty good boxing skills when he needs them. Don't get me wrong I don't think hes got much chance against mayweather should he be up for the fight and box, but if PBF doesn't take him seriously, neglects his training for this dancing thing, and then decides he can stand toe to toe then Hatton has a good chance. I feel Hatton isn't getting the respect he deserves. We all know PBF is p4p no.1 and a much superior boxer, and most Hatton fans will tell you they think PBF will probably win, what we can't take is idiotic comments, and a total lack of respect for a very exciting unbeaten boxer, who has achieved a lot already. I think a lot of Mayweather nuthuggers are just wanna be mayweathers and like to talk trash, thinking it makes them like their idol, who maybe not against Hatton, but will someday get his arse and face severly beatenComment

Here's my assessment:
Hatton holds (Harold Lederman called him "Hook and Hold Ricky Hatton").
The referee doesn't warn him about it.
It wins him fights.
So why shouldn't he do it?
He is not an exciting fighter though, that part is pretty clear in my mind.Comment

Okay, I'll take it you've only watched his fight's since he came to America, Watch all his others and re-read what you've wrote, you make yourself look absolutely ridiculous
As above. Ricky is as exciting as anyone, I suggest you watch some other fight's of Ricky's before coming out with such ****Comment

SMC - That's asking a bit much isn't it, the kind of people that base an assesment of a fighter on one fight, and listen to people like Harold Letterman and base their opinion on that, obviously aren't intelligent or real boxing fansOkay, I'll take it you've only watched his fight's since he came to America, Watch all his others and re-read what you've wrote, you make yourself look absolutely ridiculous

Yeah true lol, It's unreal the amount of **** Ricky get's on this forum..Half of 'em judge him from the Collazo or Urango fights which is ****** beyond belief. It does make me laugh though because the majority of 'em obviously know Jack and ****..Comment

I know what you mean. Hatton is going to blind Mayweather in this fight.
I have tried to bet on him getting 'wheelchaired' but the bookies will only take bets on a KO.Comment

Your mom is finally having that operation eh?Your **** wouldn't reach my mom's inner lips. Come back after the operation.Comment

Wait a minute, SMC!!
You don't want Hatton to be criticized on the basis of two fights (Collazo & Urango) , but you will call Floyd a "boring fighter" and "a runner" on the basis of two fights (Baldomir & Delahoya)?? EXPLAIN THAT.
And, btw, Oscar would beat Urango & Collazo on the same night.
Hypocrite much?Comment

Last I checked, holding was still illegal in boxing. I know Floyd's gonna be all over him like white on rice (or brits on fish and chips) and won't let him hold like he's used to doing, but a good ref in there (like either Mercante, either Caiz, Benjie Estevez, or even Tony Weeks) would warn him about holding and possibly take a point. I don't remember if Weeks warned Ricky in the Urango fight, but he basically ran the whole time so he didn't do much holding, anyway. At least Hatton engages. He uses holding tactics to bully, wheredown his opponent, and to nullify certain advantages they might have. Its hard to see anyone beating him in that kind of fight.
And Hatton actually works on the inside so there's nothing wrong with it, its not like Ruiz.Comment
