    Chad Dawson disses Mayweather Snr

Question: Trainer change, Let's talk about the trainer change, Floyd Mayweather Sr. is no longer your trainer, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad is in, What’s the deal let the fans know.

"Let the fan's know. Well um Mayweather Sr. has a nasty attitude problem, uh he doesn't know how to talk to a fighter, I mean no fighter wants a trainer that's gonna down talk them, tell them you gonna get knocked out, you know? That's bull****, I mean I had to make a switch. I went to a better thing, I went and got Eddie who is a much better trainer, He knows how to talk to a fighter and uhm I was just looking for something different anyways you know what I mean? Floyd Mayweather, not to say anything bad about him but uhh he teaches all his fighters the same combinations you know?"

It also tells you that Mayweather Sr. was on Dawson hard about not underestimating Diaconu, telling him that if he's not ready he will get stopped. Diaconu is a VERY live dog, so remember this. It would be very telling if Dawson loses because he wasn't prepared.

He will be regretting that decision, Mayweather Sr., as senile as he sounds, is one hell of a trainer.

Not much of a change imo. Eddie has always worked with Dawson as long as Pops Mayweather has to my knowledge. In fact Eddie is the one always in the trenches with Dawson on bag work and pad work. I think Dawson's ready and willing to make any adaptations required by his trainer. He probably just isn't ready or willing to be talked to like a *****.

I understand that you're a fan of Floyd Jr, but why the need to defend Big Floyd? Other posters have mentioned he's a "great trainer" and even want to give him credit for Dawson's inevitable success. Big Floyd's just an old crotchety bastard

Floyd lost all my respect when he said he felt as though Oscar won the fight against his son.
