Better Defense

I've always said Hopkins is my #1 for defense.

How Winky is still in the discussion after Bernard proved who the better man defensively is/was, is beyond me..


When Mayweather gets roughed up by Hatton that will close the matter.


Both Winky and Mayweather are badly overrated in this department.


Although... I will say they do a better job of showing their defensive ability through exaggerated posturing and reactions that average idiots can recognize. (no diss on the threadstarter who is liked and respected)


Out of the two I picked Mayweather. Winky is too much guts and offense to be a better defensive fighter than Floyd.

He doesn't try to be, and therefore isn't.

But Wright's method with the gloves is a Boxing marvel. I love that.

Truly, the shell is an offensive tool. Winky basically forgo's defense.

Of course I won't deny it works beautifully defensively.. It's just that Winky uses that shell for more than just protection. He uses it for range and counterpunching primarily IMO.

I see B-Hop with the greatest defense in boxing today also. But since its Winky vs PBF on better defense I have to go with PBF! B-Hop never ever get hurt I have it like this

Winky = TURTLE

SEE!! (SNAKE) B-Hop made sure he got close to (TURTLE) Winky! BUT! (TURTLE) Winky was quick to go into his shell and could not be hurt!! B-Hop throws plenty of powerful combinations BUT! None seem to land. The Turtle is then mistakenly hit by a devastating head butt!! The snake dashes in to take an advantage of the situation but was to late. The turtle starts to ***** complain and cry!!...
B-Hop doesn't let Winky go into his shell! Pressures him and in the end

THE TURTLE'S SHELL WAS BROKEN. The snake was very victorious! Later that day (SNAKE) B-Hop made turtle stew for his young snakes to eat.

But Winky hasn't won all his fights, and Winky is more boring than Floyd.

He's also had alot more fights and a different harder career path, fighting I guess in Europe for a number years. That's how I see it and I'm not exactly his biggest fan.

Floyd has had the machine behind him since day 1 as a pro. Winky does now but as I said was not always the case. Undefeated records are overrated sometimes.

bhop didnt break ****, he just marginally outworked winky and was more flashy, winky landed cleaner shots and landed more in general while being almost as active as hopkins....and was more precise

Floyd has the better defense. Winky has good shell defense BUT! It hard to throw power punches in that stance and that defense only works on small opponents! Look what Taylor and B-Hop did to Winky.
