bah, Heavyweights are overrated. if youre going to factor in fame then sure Mike Tyson and Ali are above. if youre actually going to look at the skills and physical abilities of each fighter determind by weight class, there are plenty of people above Ali and especially Tyson.

and Heavyweights are always going to get way more publicity and credit than the lighter weights. honestly, look at Foreman. he was a monster, and had more skills than some people him give him credit for, but come on...if we had a Welterweight version of Foreman, he would get beaten by quite a few people. he would look like Margarito, with his wide, very strong power shots and his hugely powerful uppercuts and a useful, but not crucial or amazing jab. dont just look at names, if you actually watch them, you can see simularities.

whens the last time youve seen a Heavyweight with the infighting abilities of a Duran? or the defence mastery of Whitaker? heres the answer...
    you havent.
Im not positive what p4p is, because everyone seems to have different opinions about what it means. but I know this...if there were Heavyweight versions of Duran, Leonard or Whitaker, I would easily pick them all to beat Ali, and when a fighter dominates one weight class and then moves up to dominate another and beat other p4p ranked fighters above their best weight, they deserve more credit than a fighter who stays in one weight class who beats most of the great opposition theyve faced.

I agree with everything except the last part. You can't fault a heavyweight for moving up....he has nowhere to move up to!

I aint faulting them, nah, they cant do anything, that is as high as they can go! not their fault. no...I just, personally, think that fighters should get extra credit for moving up past their best weight class and being able to beat outstanding fighters at a higher weight.

I'm assuming this is about active fighters so I'll say Manny Pacquioa.
