Colts +220 means you get 220 back for every 100 you put down. So if you bet $100 on colts and the win, you get to keep the $100+$220=$320

Saints -260 means you need to put 260 to win 100. So if you bet $100 on saints and the won you'd get to keep the $100+$38(100/260)=$138

The point spread lines mean the same, except with Colts +6.5 you're betting that at the end of the game, if you add 6.5 points to their score and they win...You win your bet.

The Saints -6.5 is the opposite. You're betting that if you take 6.5 points from them at the end of the game and they still win, you win your bet.

No doubt. Saints are the 2.6:1 favorite.

If you're going to bet Colts, I would go with the point spread though... Unless you're really sure. The bookmakers think people will bet on the Saints at -260. So some people are pretty sure on the Saints. I hate betting the underdog. But I won't just randomly bet the favorite either.

I don't follow football at all.... For some reason Saints are the -260 betting favorite though.

Neither team has a good defense, and both used their first round pick on wide receivers, so it boils down to who has the better offense. I think betting on the Colts is a good bet. How can they be underdogs? Unless the game is in New Orleans.
