What about your real-life boxing/fight fans?

It's amusing how we argue sometimes heatedly over boxing on the net, but most of us would probably love it if more of our real-life friends were like the ******s we flame in nsb. I only have one real-life (close) friend whom I consider a hardcore fan. His favorite fighters are Mayweather and Taylor. Back in the day he prefered Tito to Oscar, and he goes as far as to actually like Ali more than Frazier (I know, that's flat out disgusting). In sum, he's everything I hate about some of you.

If he were on here I'd call him a ******, assault him with red k and make poems in the Thunderdome about him. But in reality I'd choke a mother****er to death just for looking at him wrong. Makes me think some of you ******s might not be all that bad after all.

Now I want to hear Dios and TS tell me their best friends are Hatton fans. Discuss.

I know two guys that watch boxing pretty hardcore (not as hardcore as me, but still decent)

One of them loves Taylor and Malignaggi (dont ask me why). The other likes Winky Wright.

Too bad. It's more exciting when someone else is just as pumped for the fight as you. But I only go home summers where this cat lives, so the rest of the year I'm home alone or in the titty bar for fights. It's a lonely habit sometimes.

If my only real-life boxing buddy (though I have a number of MMA fan friends) posted here, he'd be easily tagged as a RJJ nuthugger who contends that Roy only lost to Tarver becasue of the weight-gain for the Ruiz fight - and that Roy only didn't murder opponents in the ring because of the McClellan tragedy...

Is it just me or is it incredibly hard to find knowledgable boxing fans in real life? I mean, half the time at the bar 95% of the guys dont know ****. I truly think the only knowledgable guys are the guys on message boards.

I only have one Boxing mate here in Leicester ..My Wife's dad.. We dont agree on anything.. But that is what makes it so Fun.. bragging rights...

My brother is the only person i know who is just as much a fan of boxing as i am...

we like the same fighters mostly though:
winky, oscar, shane, roy....he does like calzaghe more than i like him though, and i like morales a lot more than he likes him....i guess thats the only 2 things we disagree on....

Nope. I definently like the friends I have in real life over the people on BoxingScene. My relatives like Ali, Duran, and Hagler for the most part. My friends(in my age range) like Floyd, Hopkins, Winky, and Judah. Some of my hispanic friends like Cotto and Oscar.
