I concur..... I think taylor can win but not by slugging it out with Pavlik. If Pavlik can take Miranda in a slugfest, Taylor may be biting of more than he can chew. He does have a huge speed advantage though so you never know, he could get of 5 for every 1 shot.

Whatever happened to Taylor's beautiful jab??? He hasn't utilized it or hasn't been effective with it for eons. And he better use it against Pavlik and forget this slugging with him nonsense cause if he don't, he's gonna get KTFO no doubt.

I love both these guys.....but.....I have to be honest with myself

There isnt a soul on Pavliks record that will have prepared him for JT. He hasnt fought anyone even REMOTELY NEAR the cailber of Taylor. He has KO'ed some decent guys, but he got hit a TON buy guys half as good as Taylor. Taylor hasnt knocked anyone out in years. But every opponent since Edouard has run from taylor like he was the cops. Or at least held him like he was their momma. With the possible exception of Winky. Pavlik hasnt been in the ring with ANYONE that has the speed, the power, or the technique of JT.

He cant outbox Jermain Taylor. End of story.

If he tries to take 3 to give 1......he's going to sleep.

If he tries to box his way to a win....he gets worked over and loses a UD

If he tries to land one big shot or just throws bombs on someone with the technical skills of Taylor.....he gets countered all night and beaten down.

I just think the pedigree is too far apart.

Now...that being said, Taylor doesnt look like the same fighter that brutalized the middleweight division on his way up. Ive seen him hunt down and destroy other fighters when he was younger. Fame and success have made him cautious.

So Pavs can win if he: A. Lands the big shot early and often enough to steal Taylors confidence of dealing with Pav's power. A Taylor fighting cautious gets owned by a stalking Pavlik.

or B. Simply lands a shot Taylor doesnt see coming and turns the lights out.

I think both guys go down, but Pavlik's corner stops the bout in the 10th to save their fighter from being busted up any more. Write it down suckas.
