Hatton vs. Mosley - Forgotten in the hype?

I was riding up to school yesterday and as I was reading the new Ring about the Hatton-Mayweather fight (at press time not official yet) I thought to myself "Has everybody forgot that a fight between Hatton and Mosley would probably be a tremendous fight?" I mean, Mosley has fluent hand speed, a VERY solid chin, and Haton has great ability to fight inside when he wants to, plus he packs a nice punch himself.

During all the Cotto-Mosley and Hatton-Mayweather hype, I can't remember even one instance where the Hatton-Mosley fight was brought up. All I hear is that if Shane beats Cotto, he should fight Floyd. IF Hatton beats Floyd, he should fight De La Hoya. IF Floyd beats Hatton, he should get the winner of Cotto-Mosley.

Maybe I just missed it, but where's the talk of a Hatton-Mosley bout? In all honesty I think it would be a sickening fight to watch, if Hatton doesn't clinch at all. Either way, Cotto-Mosley will probably be a much better fight, and one I'm looking forward to.

    Discuss.

Neither Hatton or Mosley are winning their respective bouts so your thread is moot.

Agreed. But I suppose it's possible they could meet as a consolation bout, with the winner getting a big fight. That's a huge promotion for Golden Boy, and since they may have Hatton now as well (not sure on that), it makes a ton of financial sense and sets up the winner with another huge bout.

Hattons gonna win, and him against Mosley would be great, i'd put any amount of money on saying he'd fight DLH next though.

          Mosley will beat Cotto.

How you can watch fights from Mosley's career and then fights from Cotto's career and not think the same is beyond me. Cotto is a very good fighter and will beat virtually everybody at 147 but he won't beat Shane.

Like somebady has already said. Everytime Cotto hits Mosley he will get countered... BUT HARDER. Mosley is too fast and too slick for Cotto.

anything can happen in boxing. its possible that Floyd and cotto could lose. I wouldnt be shocked at all if they did. cotto could get caught with a punch he didnt see and get knocked out. and Hatton can pressure Floyd all night and get the win. but i think Floyd and cotto will win thier fights tho. its just that you never know what silly thing can happen in boxing. there have been alot of upsets.

You have to remember no matter what fighter your talking about, they for the most part dont base there fights on entertainment value,#1 is money and #2 is adding a win to there record which in itself raises there value.
